3-D Imaging and Design
The objective of this design was to connect the client's house and garage in a creative yet useful way on the Isle of Palms, SC. The design team ultimately ended up adding a swimming pool and an outdoor kitchen and living area between the house and the garage. A fireplace in the outdoor living area adds to the intimate feel of the space. The space can be completely closed off from the swimming pool by glass doors to make a completely enclosed room and kitchen area. An upper screened in porch above the outdoor room was designed in order to sit and enjoy the view. When the pool was built we raised the pool and pool deck by three feet in order to meet the existing grade of the house. On the opposite side of the pool from the house pavers create this intimate pool deck backed by a trellis for privacy. Landscaping such as palm trees and other lush plantings were added to soften the areas and make the client feel at home in his new outdoor room.
